Federal Government has been urged to ensure that proceeds from fuel subsidy removal is used to stabilise the nation’s economy, and improve the living standard of Nigerians.
The Chairman Progressives Governors Forum, PGF and the Governor of IMO state, Senator Hope Uzodimma made the call after a meeting with Progressives Governors in Abuja.
Uzodimma explained that PGF was working hard with the Federal Government to ensure that the funds are expended judiciously.
The Governor noted that the current hardship been experienced in hike of food stuffs, petroleum products, goods and services would be addressed during the Federation Account Allocation Committee, FAAC meeting to proffer solutions.
The PGF Chairman who used the opportunity to acknowledge the resignations of the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and National Secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore, commended their decisions, stressing that the move was in the best interest of the Party.
Senator Uzodimma, maintained that the APC had no internal crisis and would continue to be united adding that the party leadership would be piloted by the acting National Chairman and Secretary as enshrined in the party’s constitution.
