The Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed has called on the 2023 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Prospective Corps Members to familiarize themselves with the provisions of the NYSC Act and the Bye-Laws for a successful service year.

A statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations of the Scheme, Mr Eddy Megwa in Abuja says any person that violates the Scheme’s rules and regulations would be appropriately sanctioned.

The statement urges them to always draw guidance from their Oath of Allegiance and desist from all vices, such as cultism and drug abuse which are strictly prohibited.

It warns the Corps members not to violate the dressing code of the scheme as it would attract sanctions as spelt out in the NYSC Act, all through the service year.

It further admonishes them to sustain the zeal of patriotism throughout the Orientation Course and also serve as responsible role models throughout the period of their service year.

The statement also urges the Prospective Corps Members to embrace the four cardinal programmes of the scheme, which are, Orientation, Primary Assignment, Community Development Service and Passing out/winding up activities to contribute their quota to national development.

According to the statement the Orientation Course would introduce them to the objectives and programmes of the Scheme ehich includes, leadership coaching, paramilitary drills, physical trainings and sensitization on topical national issues, amongst others.
