NWCD Renamed After Late Maryam Babangida

The National Women Centre for Development has been renamed after late Former first lady Mrs Maryam Babangida.

Renaming the centre in Abuja, the Director Women Development Centre, Hajiya Asabe Bashir siad this was in accordance with National Assembly’s amendment to the Act establishing the centre.

According to her this was in recognition of the developmental activities carried out by the late Former first lady to better the lives of Nigerian women.

The Director also commended stakeholders and the past administration for their support to the centre.
